Chevy sonic overheating recall
I took my 2016 Chevy Sonic LTZ in to a local Chevy dealership last week to get a coolant leak checked out and it ended up being the water pump and a water outlet/bleed hose connector issue. Not sure if this is super late but for a 3 hour drive I would say you should be fine but keep watch/keep an ear out for an overheating alert on your dash.
