Remove the volume handle by pulling it off of the cartridge spline. Remove the trim sleeve. Remove the valve bonnet nut with a strap wrench or groove joint pliers, with care not to deform the bonnet or connected pipes. Remove the cartridge from the valve. Remove the seats, springs, and quad seal (s) with a thin tool.
